Fire Safety Requirements

Critical Prohibitions

Candles and open flames are expressly prohibited at VidCon with no exceptions allowed.

Mandatory Compliance

All Fire Marshal Guidelines must be followed for builds at the Anaheim Convention Center. Non-compliance may result in immediate shutdown of your activation. Additionally, all flame certifications must be submitted to [email protected] by May 25. Flame Certifications must also be onsite for the Fire Marshal to review.

Essential Safety Standards

Exhibitors must adhere to several key safety requirements to ensure compliance:

  • Use non-combustible or limited-combustible booth materials
  • Obtain California State Fire Marshal flame resistant certification for all decorative materials
  • Ensure electrical equipment is U.L. approved
  • Keep fire safety equipment visible and accessible at all times
  • Limit storage to maximum 1-day supply
  • Faux plants MUST be fire treated according to California Fire Regulations, most are not treated for show floor use, please check with vendor.
Special Permits Required

The following items require exhibitor permits submitted 14 days prior to the show:

  • Propane or butane usage
  • Compressed gases and liquid nitrogen
  • Flammable liquids or aerosols
  • Two-story booth constructions
  • Heat-producing equipment and machinery
